Margaret is largely self taught as she has always painted pictures, initially working in the medium of watercolour.
When her artistic talent became noticed, she decided the time had come to achieve her ambition of becoming an artist full time and in her mid forties, took the step to pursue her goal.
With tutelage and structured instruction from the
‘Open College of the Arts’, Margaret found an avenue to develop her skills and her enthusiasm for painting & art. Now with a
BA Hons Degree in Creative Arts from Bucks New University, Margaret continues to challenge herself artistically. Finding her way as an artist has been demonstrated by her use of assorted mediums and subject matter, marking her creative awareness to explore and widen her portfolio. Inspiration for her various paintings comes from the influence of her Welsh ancestry and her love for nature, with the landscape of her home county of Norfolk providing many studies for works.
Although Margaret’s creativity has seen her pursue newer interests in both art history and photography,
her portfolio is extensive with a passion for painting.
Through various commissions Margaret has artwork hanging in various countries all over the world. Many people have enjoyed her creativity and she has had many requests for her paintings via this web site with referrals from friends and admirers who own or have viewed her artwork.
